About Me

MY BACKGROUND

My full name is Murilo Stringuetti Artese, I am a graduate from Appalachian State University, with a degree on Electronic Media & Broadcasting with a minor in English. I am originally from Sao Paulo, Brazil and started attending Appalachian in Fall of 2015. During my time in college I have spent countless hours as an Appalachian Student Ambassador, a Student Orientation Undergraduate Leader (SOUL), a member and past President of International Appalachian (INTAPP), a performer in the NouN Improv Comedy group, and a producer for Up Late AppState on AppTV.

I was an exchange student during my senior year of High School in Hickory, NC and fell in love with the people and culture around here. In addition to that, one of the main reasons for me to come to college in a different country was because my field of interest in broadcasting is better developed in the U.S. than in Brazil.

For more information about me, you can read this article from Appalachian Today, written by Alex Jansen, about me and my impact on Appalachian State University's campus.
